Privacy policy
Last updated: May 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Toddlers CAN Read LLC ("Toddlers CAN Read," "TCR," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use our website at toddlersread.com, our products, courses, quizzes, communities, emails, advertisements, and related experiences (collectively, the "Services").
We believe parents should understand what information we collect, why we collect it, and how to control it. We've written this in plain language wherever possible. If anything is unclear, email us at support@toddlersread.com.
Who This Policy Is For
Our Services are designed for adults — parents, caregivers, and educators teaching children to read. Our buyers, account holders, and direct users of our digital services are adults. We do not direct our Services to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
Some of our content and product imagery features young children because our subject matter is early literacy. When children use our materials, they do so with adult supervision and through an adult's account.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided personal information to us directly, email support@toddlersread.com and we will delete it.

How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money.
We share information with service providers, advertising partners, and analytics providers in order to operate our business. Some of these activities may qualify as "sharing," "targeted advertising," or similar terms under certain U.S. state privacy laws (see "Your Privacy Rights" below).
We share information with categories of recipients including:
- Payment processors (Shopify Payments, Shop Pay, PayPal)
- Shipping and fulfillment providers
- Email and (in the future) SMS platforms (Klaviyo)
- Website hosting and infrastructure (Shopify)
- Quiz and assessment tools (Interact)
- Analytics providers (Google Analytics)
- Advertising platforms (Meta/Facebook, Google Ads)
- Customer support tools
- Business and technology vendors that help operate our Services
We may also disclose information when we believe in good faith that it is required by law, to respond to legal requests, to protect rights, safety, or property, or in connection with a business transfer, merger, or acquisition.
Cookies, Tracking, and Advertising
We and our partners use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the Site, understand how it's used, personalize your experience, and support our marketing.
The main partners we work with include Shopify, Klaviyo, Google Analytics, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google Ads, and Interact.
Some cookies are necessary for the Site to function. Others help us understand usage, remember preferences, measure ad performance, and personalize content. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the Site may not work properly without them.
A Note on "Selling" and "Sharing"
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, some U.S. state privacy laws (including in California) define "sharing" broadly to include using advertising cookies and pixels for cross-context behavioral advertising — even when no money changes hands. Under those broad definitions, our use of advertising tools like the Meta Pixel and Google Ads may qualify as "sharing."
You can opt out of this advertising-related sharing at any time by emailing support@toddlersread.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. We also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals sent by your browser where technically supported.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no consistent industry standard for responding to it, so we do not respond to DNT. Where technically supported, we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals, as described above.
Email and SMS Marketing
If you sign up for our email list, take a quiz, download a resource, or check out as a customer, you may receive marketing and educational emails. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and our mailing address appears in the footer.
We may launch SMS marketing in the future. If you opt in, we will send you a confirmation message. Standard message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive marketing texts is not a condition of purchase. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help. We do not share SMS opt-in information or phone numbers with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Testimonials and Content You Share
If you send us a testimonial — whether in text, photo, or video form — we may use it to promote our Services on our Site, in emails, on social media, and in advertising. By sending us a testimonial, you give us permission to do so. If you'd like us to stop using a testimonial you've previously shared, email support@toddlersread.com and we will remove it from materials we control going forward.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep personal information only as long as we reasonably need it to provide our Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and maintain business and financial records.
As a general guide:
- Account and order information is kept for the life of your account and a reasonable period afterward for tax, accounting, and legal recordkeeping.
- Marketing list information is kept until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
- Analytics and advertising data is typically retained according to provider settings and business needs.
- Customer support communications are kept as long as needed to resolve your issue and maintain reference history.
You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see "Your Privacy Rights" below).

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your information
- Receive a portable copy of your information
- Opt out of marketing emails or texts at any time

EU, UK, and Other International Residents
If you are in a jurisdiction with comprehensive privacy laws (such as GDPR), you have the rights above plus the right to object to certain processing, withdraw consent where we rely on it, and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
We process your information based on your consent, our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running the business, or our legal obligations, depending on the situation. If we transfer your information outside your country, we use safeguards required by your law.
International Users
If you access our Services from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
Data Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we experience a data incident that affects you, we will notify you as required by law.
Third-Party Links and Services
Our Services may link to third-party websites, platforms, or services we don't control. Their privacy practices are their own. We recommend reading their policies before sharing information with them.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. If the changes are significant, we'll let you know by email or through a notice on the Site. Your continued use of our Services after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
